AI & Strategic Autonomy breakfast: perspectives from Africa, Europe and Canada

October 28th, on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum, the Human Technology Foundation brought together a select group of guests for a working breakfast on strategic autonomy in the age of artificial intelligence.

Three keynote contributions opened the discussion:

  • Ms Cina Lawson, Minister of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation of the Togolese Republic
  • Ms Clara Chappaz, former French Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies
  • Mr Charles Morgan, Partner at McCarthy Tétrault (Canada), National Co-leader, Cyber/Data Group

The conversation focused on technological dependencies, investment priorities and the forms of strategic cooperation and partnerships needed to move from a position of imposed vulnerability to one of chosen interdependence.
